Great job on the modification! Very eager to see the fiieshnd result I’m wondering about one thing though, how do you get this road legal? In Belgium, where I live, even engine mods are quickly seen as being illegal, and if I’d register it as an oldtimer I can basically do whatever I want, but that would give me too much extra restrictions (allowed distances, no driving at night, etc.).Any thoughts on that? I think I’ll never get away with getting it approved to be road legal out here because (i think) the chassis are self supporting’, and they might be suspicious about how safe the construction is after welding two cars together Oh, and do you have any other recommendations for plausible donor cars with a similar floor plan?In any case, thanks for the idea!

Here we need to keep the frame height within a certain distance. Also, the headlights are measured from ground height. The heights are within parameters. The DOT doesn’t allow tires to protrude from the fender edges, we use the flares to cover the tires. In the rear we have added large truck mudflaps to cover 50% of the tire as required. The engine on this truck has had a supercharger added, but all emissions and safety equipment are retained. It is more work to make a large truck street legal, but very worth it. The end results are a lot of fun!
